Mayor Zohran Mamdani Public Swearing-in Ceremony
Zohran Mamdani’s ceremony to be sworn in as the 111th Mayor of New York City on the steps of City Hall in Manhattan, New York on January 1, 2026.
The evening prior, Mamdani, a Democrat, was sworn in at the decommissioned subway station below City Hall placing his hand on a Quran as he took his oath as the city’s first Muslim mayor.
